Our Dynamic Team

    "Ann-Henegar"

Ann Henegar

Executive Director

Ann is an NC State alumni and the mother of three wonderfully energetic boys. She loves to cook, read, and travel.

If Ann had her choice, she would spend the majority of her free time with her family, relaxing on a sandy beach, while gazing at the crystal clear blue ocean in front of her.

An amazing thing about Ann is that she is on the global stem cell & bone marrow registry. Why? Well, because, she understands how important it is to save someone’s life, if you can.

She also knows how easy it is to be tested and register as a donor. It excites Ann to know the number of people she could potentially help.

Katie Fowler

Campus Coordinator – Charlotte Region

Katie is a Truman State University alumni and former college athlete. She has spent the past seven years working, as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach, most recently at the University of South Carolina.

As a result, Katie has witnessed firsthand the positive impact college athletes can have on their campuses and communities.

She is thrilled to be a member of an organization that works daily to educate others on how they can help patients suffering from blood cancers and other life-threatening blood conditions.

    "Katie-Fowler"
    "Gabby"

Gabby Ybarra

Campus Coordinator – Triangle (NC) area

Gabby is a recent alum of Wake Technical Community College and NC State with a background in leadership development and communication. Originally from Washington, she grew up a military child and relocated to the coast of North Carolina. North Carolina Association of Student Councils sparked her enthusiasm for nonprofit work, especially those affiliated with college campuses looking to make a difference in the world.

With a passion for helping others, Gabby’s search brought her to this nonprofit that instantly stole her heart. She looks forward to partnering with students to save lives and find as many matches for patients as possible.

Meghan Berglund

Campus Coordinator – South Carolina

Meghan is a recent alum of the University of South Carolina and the Delta Zeta Sorority. In 2020, she joined the global stem cell registry at her sorority’s mega-drive, Sweet Caroline, and has donated her white blood cells for cancer research with Gift of Life.

She has now come to Project Life Movement to continue her work in helping to find matches for blood cancer patients. She is excited to expand our mission onto campuses and educate students about the registry.

    "Meghan-Berglund"
